Executive Editor Clare Demarest holds a Master’s in Literary Critical Analysis from Brandeis University. As a popular teacher in the Boston area, she conceived of Writærobics©, a set of mental workouts designed to awaken imagination, intensify observation, and generally foster writing proficiency. She’s particularly adept at developing conceptual and practical organizational and creative expertise among professionals such as academics, lawyers, psychologists, engineers, and business executives.

Senior Editor Robert Mamis spent some 20 years on the staff of Inc. Magazine, where he reported on and wrote about technology, finance, venture capital, the stock market, entrepreneurship, bootstrapping, and similar beats. He has also been an editor of and writer for Newsweek and Boston magazines. For Sail Magazine, he was editor-in-chief of its hardcover book-publishing division for several years. He’s co-author of the hardcover trade book When to Sell (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), and is a contributor to various periodicals.
